I first met zach through a funny facebook comment on a mutual friend’s page many years ago. We instantly connected as I found him to be a hilarious person. Turns out we had a mutual friend in Baxter Sims and we all would start hanging out often. The first messages with Zach he told me he wanted to do stand up comedy and I explained how I had just graduated from the funnybone comedy school so I picked him up and we went to the mall where I gave him a copy of the comedy bible. Ever since that day we began to build a bond that would form into a beautiful friendship. Throughout the years, we shared a lot of laughs together and even tears when we lost our dear friend Baxter. I will never forget pushing Zach around in his wheel chair after his accident. We always had a blast when we hung out. Shortly after our friend Baxter passed away, I moved back to Spain with my family and Zach was one of my only friends that came to say goodbye at the hotel before i took off. Zach and I kept in contact almost daily, so naturally when I moved back he was one of the first people I contacted to hang out with. Zach can never and should never be remembered for his struggles, but for his kind heart and humor. He was a person that was always there for his friends. I wish I had been able to see him more recently but I had not been able to do so. Its surreal to know he is gone, but never will he be forgotten. I will carry his memory with me every where I go.

Sending my sincere sympathy to both families for a life lost much too soon and pray memories of happy times will offer some peace. While I didn’t personally experience Zach’s comedy, it sounds like he had quite a talent to make others smile. That’s a true gift.

Zach was a good a friend. As we grew older, we grew apart and over the years lost touch. However, at onetime we were very close. He always had a great heart and would give you the shirt off his back. His personality was one of a kind. He always knew how to cheer someone up when they were down and was there when you needed him. It’s a shame to see a such a young man go. I reached out about a year ago
to see how Zach was doing. We briefly talked via text and planned on getting up for lunch. Somehow our plans didn’t workout that day and I never heard from Zach again. I wish I would have got to see him again. When I heard the news I was so shocked and sadden to hear that Zach was no longer with us. My prayers are with his family as they go through this tough time. I will
never forget Zach and know he is in a better place now. Until next time my good friend!
