Our beloved mother, daughter and friend Yonni Deidre McPherson, departed this life on Sunday, August 2, 2015 in Virginia Beach, VA. She was born in Newport News, VA to Deacon Ronald and Yvonne Reynolds on February 21, 1977. At an early age, she accepted Christ as her personal Savior. She was employed by the City of Virginia Beach in the Department of Public Utilities.
She leaves to cherish her memory her beloved children; two sons, Zxaveon Brady-Reynolds and Montourious McPherson Jr. both of Virginia Beach, VA; one daughter Kyonna McPherson of Virginia Beach, VA; a brother, Vernon Greene of Kansas City, MO; the father of her children, Montourious McPherson Sr.; a paternal grandmother, Helen Reynolds of New Bloomfield, MO; a grandmother of the children, Susan Evans of Virginia Beach, VA; a paternal great grandmother, Evelyn McPherson, of Virginia Beach, VA and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
She was predeceased by a sister Yaqui Reynolds.
A visitation will be held on Friday August 7, 2015 from 6pm to 8pm at Altmeyer Funeral Home, 5792 Greenwich Rd. Virginia Beach, VA. A homegoing celebration will be held at New Oak Grove Missionary Baptist Church, 3200 Head River Rd. Virginia Beach, VA 23457. Interment will take place immediately following the service at Colonial Grove Memorial Park, 3445 Princess Anne Rd. Virginia Beach, VA 23456.

I knew you for a couple of years now, but during the last three weeks of your life we became closer. I can’t believe you were at my house last week, and now you are gone. I don’t understand it all. A big part of me is sad and hurt that I won’t get to see your smile, but I know it was not in vain. That God has an eternal purpose, that He brought us together for your last weeks on earth to set some things up in the Spirit. Rest in the arms of Jesus, my friend. The Williams family will always remember you and love your family.

I will miss you my friend, each time I spoke with you on the phone no matter the time of day you always pleasant voice which made me know whatever I was dealing with didnt matter because you made me feel important and always helped, I could tell you had a smile on your face when you answered the phone, I will miss talking and laughing with you on the phone. A quite sadness moves thru me. I will never understand why you left so soon. Or why I didn’t have a chance to say goodbye. I will miss our good times together and all of our great conversations.
