We announce with great sadness the passing of Mr. Winston Hyde, on June 29, 2023, due to complication of a stroke that he suffered on April 22. Unfortunately, Winston does not have family here in Virginia except for his 12 years old daughter, whom he loves dearly and his ex-wife. We are raising money to cover the cost of his cremation and would like to send his ashes to his family in Jamaica, his birthplace and final resting place.
Everyone who knew Winston knew that he was passionate about cooking, and it was also his profession. His favorite pastimes were fishing and listening to reggae music. Winston was generous and always willing to help others. Winston is survived by his 5 children, several brothers and sisters, grandchildren, and a host of other family and friends.
In lieu of flowers we would gratefully appreciate any donation to aide in preparation for his home going. We want to thank everyone in advance for all the kind words and support as we mourn the loss of a be-loving father and a great friend.
My family and I are deeply saddend by the passing of a trooper, a dear friend and brother. He was my brothers friend before he even became my friend. I can recall when our Mom died, he was the one who helped with the catering.
Winston/Bullock/Rooks, you will always be remembered as a dear friend, brother, fishing buddy, our baker and just a great Chef.
