My thoughts and prayers are with the family. I believe this was my father Homer’s best friend, Bill “Bucky” that I had known growing up. May he rest in peace.
Bill was a great and true friend, and we shared more than a few adventures. He was gentle, kind, and tolerant of my self-centered, egocentric behavior. I have thought of him often over the years and wish I could have told him how I really felt about him, after I “Grew up.”
May the Peace of Christ be with the Newby family
We are deeply saddened by the loss of Bill. He was a kind, gentle and had such a dry sense of humor. Simply stated he was a wonderful man with a big heart. Wour thoughts and prayers with your family

Doc and I worked in the shipyard together for many years and I think on him as a man that always stood tall in his beliefs. He was a good friend to me and I will surely miss him.For the last year he was meeting with me and five other retired friends of his for breakfast at I-hop.First thurday of every month to talk over old times together and having fun with each other,Dr will leave a hole in that but not in our hearts.God bless you! Don
Billy, and I grew up in Colonoal Place
And as young boys enjoyed friendship
And played football, basketball and loved to fish.He was also a great friend to my late brother Gene. Bill we will miss you and may God rest you with him.
