William Edward Gervais, 17 of Virginia Beach, VA passed away December 7, 2016.
Will was born in Bremerton, WA and was immediately loved and adored by his parents Brian and Chrissy.
Besides his mom and dad, Will leaves his sisters Meghan and Emma, and his brother Michael. He also leaves his Great Grandpa, Grammie and Papa and many aunts, uncles and cousins.
In his short time here with us, Will brought an immeasurable amount of joy, laughter, pride, love and happiness to anyone who knew him. Will was an accomplished student in his senior year at Ocean Lakes in the Math and Science Academy. He had attended Kemps Landing Magnet School, where he found his love for music. Will was the recipient of many awards and honors for both academics and music.
Anyone who knew Will, knows he was smart, funny, sarcastic and had the biggest smile and the absolute best laugh. He was kind, generous, loving and an all-around amazing young man.
Will adored his younger sisters and was always there to help them with whatever they needed. He had an extra special relationship with his little brother Mikey who shared Will’s love for video games and joking people. His grandparents, aunts, uncles and cousins all loved him beyond measure. Will was a friendly guy and had many friends, teachers and acquaintances who admired and respected him. He was the air that his mom breathed and his Dad’s very best friend.
A viewing will be held at Altmeyer Funeral Home, 5792 Greenwich Road Virginia Beach Monday evening from 4-8 pm. A religious service will be held at the same location Tuesday at 5PM.
We ask that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to the Ocean Lakes Band, Where Will served as Drum Major. Checks can be made out to OLBPA and mailed to or dropped off at Ocean Lakes High School C/O Ryan Rowles 885 Schumann Drive Virginia Beach, VA 23454.
Our entire family would like to thank all of you for your love, support and kind words about our boy.

Dear Family of William Edward Gervais,
My condolences go out to you all as you mourn the loss of this exceptional young man.
May you be comforted beyond measure as you grieve your loss.
Almighty God has a longing to undue all that death has caused. (Job 14:14-15)
By means of a resurrection to life, many who have died will live again right here on this cleansed earth in peace and happiness forever. (Luke 7:11-15 & Psalm 37:11,29)
May God grant the requests of your heart while you patiently await the time when you’ll see William again. (Psalm 21:2) Imagine the tears of pain being replaced by tears of joy, this will be made possible by means of the resurrection.
All these promises come from a God who cannot lie. (Titus 1:2)
