William D. “Bill” Holt, 77, of Virginia Beach, VA passed away unexpectedly on June 20, 2023. He was born in Pennsylvania. Bill proudly served his country in the United States Army.
He retired from Sadler Materials Corporation as Vice President of Sales. In his spare time, Bill enjoyed playing golf, working in his yard, and spending time with his grandchildren.
Survived by his wife, Carol Holt of Virginia Beach, son Josh Holt and wife Breana of Virginia Beach, and two grandchildren, Jack and Ella Holt of Virginia Beach.
Visitation will be 5 p.m. to 7 p.m., Thursday, June 29 at Altmeyer Funeral Home, 1801 Baltic Avenue, Virginia Beach. A private burial will be held at a later date.
Dear Carol and family, I have such wonderful memories of Bill’s smile and his kindness to our father at the end of his life. You have been a wonderful caregiver for Bill these last few years. I know it hasn’t been easy and I am so sorry for your loss. I hope you find comfort in your memories of the good times. Love, Maynee

My husband and I have known Bill for about a decade now and he has gone through so much. We are deeply saddened by Bill’s passing and we will miss him very much. We loved how much he cared for his wife, Carol, and how much Carol cared for Bill. They both have gone through so much and I wish them both peace and love. Both Bill and Carol are in our prayers and we love you both so much.
