William Claude Sprinkel

VIRGINIA BEACH – William Claude “Billy” Sprinkel passed in his home September 3, 2023 after a courageous battle against cancer. He was born in Baltimore, Maryland to the late William Henry Sprinkel and Odelia Sprinkel.
Billy started out in the carpenter’s union and later became a superintendent for Hoy Construction where he worked for 38 years.
In addition to his parents, Billy was predeceased by his wife, Sharon; his brother, Lester; and two sisters, Barbara Muffenbier and Anna Lucille Pablo.
Billy was an avid golfer and member of the Redwing Senior Golf. He was a true Redskin fan, Hampton Roads Admirals Hockey fan. Billy was a sports fanatic.
He is survived by his two sons, Paul Sprinkel and wife, Kimberly and Dan Sprinkel; five grandchildren, Dustin Sprinkel, Michael Sprinkel, Megan Sprinkel, Melanie Sprinkel, and Bryce Lindner; and 13 great-grandchildren.
The visitation will be held at Altmeyer Funeral Home, 5033 Rouse Drive, Virginia Beach, Tuesday, September 12, 2023 from 6:00pm to 8:00pm. A Celebration of Life service will be held at the funeral home Wednesday, September 13, 2023 at 11:00am with burial to follow in Rosewood Memorial Park.
