Memorial Service

Vivian Mary Connelly, 89 years old of Virginia Beach, passed away peacefully on December 28, 2023. She was a loving and devoted mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend to many. She was a faithful member of First Baptist Church of Norfolk for 40 years and gladly served in many capacities. Vivian also volunteered at several organizations throughout the community, always wanting to help others.

Vivian was predeceased by her mother, Vivian Bryant; father, Albert Belanger brother, Donald Belanger and niece, Norma Belanger. She is survived by her daughters, Mary Connelly-Dean and husband James Dean, Kathy Jones, and Shelly Hanna; three granddaughters, Courtney Hanna and her husband Edouard Majoie, Carlan Riddle and her husband Tony, Mallory Hanna and great-grandson, George Majoie. She is also survived by her brothers, Albert Belanger, Charles Bryant, and Joseph Belanger and sisters, Beatrice Belanger and Mary Belanger and many nieces and nephews.

Services will held on Friday, January 12th at 11AM at First Baptist Church of Norfolk, 312 Kempsville Rd. in Norfolk with a reception immediately following the service.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Project Comfort or Mission fund at First Baptist Church of Norfolk.

It’s been a blessing being reminded by many, through their words and photos, of how much my my mom enjoyed serving her church and community. The common theme describing Vivian is FUN, an energizer bunny,one who’s always willing to be of service and went above and beyond and a Pioneer. Mom was truly one of a kind! She brought joy to so many.
I already miss you so much!!!!
