Vita C. Femiano, born on Dec. 6, 1931, passed away, Monday, Apr. 3, 2023, to join her beloved husband, Andy, of 62 years. She leaves behind, her children, Andy, Michael (fav DIL, Karen), Stephen, Renee and Angela (fav SIL, Chuck), 14 grandchildren, and 8 great grandchildren.

Mom was the youngest of 7 children and grew up surrounded by love. Love of God, love of family, love of music and dancing, love of cards, and of course delicious food.  This love was nurtured and grew as she did. She lived a life of love and compassion, giving her whole self in everything she did.  She had a strong foundation of faith that she leaned on and lived by. She was always there for anyone that needed anything, and was loved by all! The door was always open. Mom was a peacemaker, a friend, a confidant, a counselor, a nurse, a comedian, a master chef, a wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother, and so much more. She was her family’s greatest advocate, and loved them with all of her heart and soul.

Mom, we love you so very much and thank you for the gift of you! We all are truly blessed and will miss you more than words can ever express! You are forever in our hearts!

Visitation will be held on Tuesday April 4, 2023 at Altmeyer Funeral Homes Maestas Chapel (1801 Baltic Ave) beginning at 5:30pm and concluding with a rosary service at 7:00pm.

A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on April 5, 2023 at St. John the Apostle Catholic Church (1968 Sandbridge Road) beginning at 11:00am with a Graveside service immediately following at St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery (3000 Church Street, Norfolk).
