Celebrating Virginia Lash
Virginia’s friends called her Ginger. Ginger ensured that Wayne and Bryan Hendrix were never wanting for anything. She worked three jobs in the mid sixties until she re-married in 1970. Ginger had another two sons, Robert and John Thompson, and assumed the role of homemaker with her 4 sons until 1991. She enjoyed taking her sons to the sporting, karate, boy scouts, and camping events. Ginger then once again took on the role of real estate agent when the relationship ended with her then husband in 1993. That didn’t stop Ginger from ensuring that Robert and John were cared for and kept in touch with her family every year. She then found her Prince…Mike Lash in 1993 Ginger and Mike found a good home to live together and care for her mother Gladys Harper until her passing.. Ginger attended to Mike Lash when he was diagnosed with Lou Gherigs disease until his passing. Ginger then was overcome with Alzhiemers and dementia shortly afterwards and her final years were spent living with her oldest Son Wayne Hendrix, whom cared for her until her passing on January 13, 2022. Ginger was always the light in the room with her shining blue eyes and infectious smile. Ginger always made lemons into lemonade and was always a pleasure to be around.
