Tillman Joseph Dyer, 64, of Norfolk passed away April 30, 2016.
Tillman was born in Norfolk the son of the late James and Lillian Dyer. His love for life was strong. He graduated from Lake Taylor High and a year later he enlisted in the Navy where he proudly served his country. In life, he traveled to many places. His biggest gift was his son and daughter. Tillman became a member of Mt. Hermon at a very age and always kept an open line to God.
He is survived by his son, Deon Dyer; daughter Stephany Woods; beloved sister Century Dent husband Eugene E. Dent of Norfolk; nephew Donte and wife Shenika Dent; niece Cynthia Dent; three great nieces; two great nephews and a host of close friends and cousins.
A memorial service will be held noon Saturday, May 7, 2016 at Altmeyer Funeral Home, 5792 Greenwich Road Virginia Beach. Burial will follow in at the Albert G. Horton Jr. Memorial Veterans Cemetery at a later date. Condolences may be offered to the family at www.altmeyer.com.

Today is your birthday I know you are with all your family we all make . mistakes about something because we are not perfect people but I do know he is a forgiving God and he loves us all it doesn’t matter what anyone thinks it’s what in your heart like I said we are not perfect Happy Birthday Tiliman much love Barbara God Bless Stormy weather 🌹

I went to high school with you. You were kind, fun and had an amazing deep singing voice. We were in chorus together and attended All State chorus together in 1971. I hope you kept singing. We are having our 50th high school reunion this year. I will miss you. You are not forgotten
