Tammy L. Pietrantonio
Chesapeake – Tammy Lin Pietrantonio, 54, passed away August 23, 2015 at her residence. Tammy was born in Norfolk to Gloria Winslow Baines and the late Richard Neely Burket. She was a life member of the VFW Auxiliary #4809 and the MOC Auxiliary Pup Tent 2 #4809. Tammy was very active in fundraising for CHKD and the American Cancer Society and loved caring for and spending time with her family.
Left to cherish her memory are her loving husband of 27 years, Michael Richard “Pizza Man” Pietrantonio; son, Michael Vincent Pietrantonio of Chesapeake; mother, Gloria Baines (Lee) of Chesapeake; siblings, Richard Timm Burket of Chesapeake and Barbara Burket (Amy Greene) of Douglasville, GA; grandchild, Rylin Avery Pietrantonio of Virginia Beach; aunts, Carol W. Mowers (Dave) of Kill Devil Hills, NC and Susan Givens of Suffolk; uncles Dave Burket (Ruthie) of Virginia Beach and Bill Burket (Gene) of Altoona, PA; step-mother, Kathy Smith of Suffolk; step sister Nancy Waddy ; sister-in-law Patricia Patty Anne Pietrantonio and her daughter Michelle of West Chester, NY; and faithful dog, peanut.
The family will receive friends at Altmeyer Funeral Home, 929 Battlefield Blvd., S., Chesapeake on Saturday from 1:30 pm until 2:00 pm with a life celebration service immediately following. Guests are invited to a reception at VFW Post #4809, 5728 Bartee St., Norfolk after the service. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society. My prayers are with the family and may they be comforted by the many good memories of Tammy during this time of loss. I will always remember her sweet nature and beauty as a young girl when we spent time together growing up in Altoona and our family get togethers in Virginia Beach.
