Sylvia Isaac passed away April 18, 2023 in Virginia Beach. She was born in the Philippines in 1952 to Sabina and Rodrigo Reyes. She married Jose in 1972 and they celebrated their 51st wedding anniversary this year.

Our mother loved to cook for her friends and family, ESPECIALLY her kare-kare, loved to sing and dance, and most of all, to entertain and care for her three grandchildren.

She is survived by her husband Jose, children Jessica (Scott), Josyl (Owen), Joseph (Katherine), grandchildren Isaac, Gabriel, Leia, sister Felicidad, brother Carlos, as well as numerous nephews and nieces.

She joins her mother Sabina and father Rodrigo, and siblings Rodrigo, Aurora, Jose, Imelda, Virginia, and Angelito.

A visitation will be held from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm on Friday, April 21, 2023 at Altmeyer Funeral Home, 5033 Rouse Dr. in Virginia Beach. A memorial service will be held Wednesday, April 26, 2023 at 11:00 am at Holy Spirit Catholic Church, 1396 Lynnhaven Parkway, Virginia Beach, VA 23453. Condolences may be left for the family below.

What a beautiful woman, and a beautiful life. Thank you for your daughter Jessica, the best friend I’ve ever known in my lifetime. She learned her love, humour, and grace from you, and I am forever grateful. Sending all family and friends so much love love love.
