Dear Aunt Nancy ‘Titha’ and cousin Tina,
Words can’t express how sad I am to hear about my dear Uncle Steve’s passing. He was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather, and he was also a wonderful uncle and godfather to me.
I will always fondly remember that twinkle in his eyes, the way he would tease you and then look over at us and smile with his eyebrows raised while he winked his eyes to let us know he was just teasing you.
I was happy that my children, Billy and Nicole, got to spend some time with you and uncle Steve a few years ago. They told me how cute the two of you were together. It was obvious to see how much you loved and cared for each other. I always thought of you both as ‘frick and frack’, a dynamic duo who did everything together, and made others smile at the way you would tease each other in a fun, loving way.
Always remember how fortunate you were to have 62 happy married years together.
I know this is a big loss for you, but I also know your faith is strong and you know Uncle Steve is in a better place now surrounded by all our other loved ones who have left us. He will always live on in our hearts and memories and we know he will be watching over us.
Wish I could be there with you these next few days, please know I am there in spirit. God bless.
Love you always, your niece and goddaughter, and cousin, Maria xo

Dear Tina and Nancy, I’m so sorry to hear about Compare Steve’s passing. My deepest condolences to the family. Steve was a dear friend to my father and family and I have fond memory’s of growing up with him. Although I haven’t seen him in many years, he always held a special place in my heart. Dear Nancy Genovesi, Tina and family. We were so sorry to read of the passing of your husband and father. He was always so pleasant to talk with when he was in our neighborhood or when Marsha would see him in the grocery store. He was so gentle and kind and always with a happy smile. We are on vacation this week so will be unable to attend his funeral, but we will be thinking of you with deepest sympathy. Truly Heaven has a new angle and he will be looking down to care for each of you. Love and prayers, Marsha and Phil Olson

Debra and I are praying the Lord will comfort and protect the Genovesi family during this difficult time. Steve was always a positive force at Ascension, ready to help anyone and will be greatly missed. He truly lived his Catholic faith by his service to others. Prayers to Nancy and Tina.
