Celebration of Life

Sharynn Sraver Hunt, 76, left us with precious memories on April 18, 2022, to spend eternity with God and her savior Jesus Christ.  Sharynn was born on September 16, 1945, in Harnett County, North Carolina.
Sharynn moved to Virginia where she graduated Douglas S. Freeman High School, located in Richmond, VA in 1964 and worked for the City of Norfolk where she retired after serving many years.
Her favorite pasttimes were to watch television, work on puzzles, drink wine, and enjoy good food, especially seafood.  She was an amazing cook.  Some of her specialties were her chicken and dumplings and corn bread, seafood crepes, and homemade chili.
Left to cherish her memory are her four children: Todd Patton, Chris Patton, Joy Narron and Joshua Boyd; six grandchildren and six great grandchildren; two sisters Gloria Caddell and Sadie Bergeron and brother Brant Sraver Sr., many cousins, nephews, nieces, and cherished friends.  She was predeceased by her parents, Bernice and Brantner Sraver.
Sharynn loved her family and God with all of her heart, soul, and mind.  Sharynn didn’t want to leave this earth for she wanted to love unconditionally and to be loved!  She truly cherished her children and gave everything she had to make them happy and to help them succeed in life. Sharynn had an infectious smile that would warm any heart and she would give anything to make sure others were happy.  There are no words that can express how much Sharynn will be missed. She is loved deeply, and her spirit will burn bright in all of us.  We look forward to the day we will be in her presence and live together, happily ever after!
A memorial service will be held at 3:00 pm on Wednesday, April 27th, 2022, at Altmeyer Funeral Home, 5033 Rouse Drive in Virginia Beach, VA.  In lieu of flowers, you may CLICK HERE to assist the family through this most difficult time in their lives.  Thank you and God bless!

To the family-I am so sorry for your loss. I am here for you during this time and pray that her memory lives on in each one of you.
I wish I had had more time with her. I am grateful for the conversations we had and for the opportunity to thank her for her son, Chris and to tell her that I have loved him from the bottom of my heart every day for the past 10 years. I will remember her beautiful smile and how much she loved that bird.
Chris-I am sorry for your loss. I will support you, I will cry with you and I will comfort you during this time of sorrow. I am always here for you.
To the rest of the family-You should all feel proud of everything that you did for her to make her comfortable and to enjoy the time she had. May you all reflect on your own lives and the things you want to accomplish and know she is looking down on you from heaven.
