Samantha Jo Leversee

Samantha “Sami” Jo Leversee (née Tibbits) was granted her angel wings on Friday, November 4th, 2016. Her final days were spent surrounded by family and close friends. Samantha’s zest for life, love for her family and friends, infectious laugh and catchy phrases brought so much joy to those around her.
Samantha Jo was born on November 26th, 1980 in Roswell, New Mexico. She is preceded in death by her aunt, Sarah Candace (“Aunt Candi”) Miller. She is survived by her parents Samuel and Rosalina Tibbits, her uncle John C. Tibbits, her brothers Steven and Samuel, her sisters Jennifer and Maryann, and her children Michael Jr (age 12) and Matthew (age 9) who were the lights of her life.
Samantha Jo worked as a Sales Associate and in the Training department at Colonial Shooting Academy. Prior to her tenure at Colonial Shooting Academy, she was a Sales Associate in Firearms at Superior Pawn and Gun. Interested in firearms and the firearms industry, Samantha made many friends as she was a favorite of many customers and colleagues. She also made many friends through her volunteer work with the Virginia Beach Fallen Heroes as she was passionate about raising money for various military support organizations in Hampton Roads.
Samantha Jo was a devoted mother, sister, daughter and friend. She will be deeply missed by her family, friends, and all those who knew her.
A viewing is scheduled for Friday, November 11th from 6pm to 8pm and funeral services are scheduled for Saturday, November 12th at 12:00pm, both at Altmeyer Funeral Home, 5792 Greenwich Road in Virginia Beach.
The family would like to invite everyone to a reception following the funeral service at 1:30pm at The Ready Room, 1805 London Bridge Road in Virginia Beach.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be accepted through YouCaring or the Navy Federal account set up for Samantha Jo to assist with support for her services and her children.
