On July 7, 2015 Ruby Ann Gonzales, 63, lost her courageous battle to cancer. Nevertheless her smile stayed with her even to the end for she knew she won the war, she was going home to meet with her Lord.
Ruby Ann was born May 22, 1952 in Fairmont, North Carolina to the late Edison and Ruby Snipes. Preceding her also are her brothers Samuel and Eddie Ray. Left to cherish her memory are her daughter Rhonda Spruill, husband Eddie Spruill and grandson Austin of Norfolk; sister Rosemary; brothers Gerald and Sheldon and a host of other family and friends.
Ruby Ann loved to share her smile and laughter with all who had a moment to spend with her. She didn’t love things-she loved people. She found true joy in reading her Bible, watching her grandson and spending time with those she loved. She will live on forever in the hearts of all of us that had the pleasure to love her and we will always remember her witty words. So, as Ruby Ann would say, “Until we meet again, HOLLA!!”
