Rose Betty Rodríguez, 40, better known as Coco, departed to be with the Lord on January 11, 2023. Coco was born in the Bronx, New York, to José A. Rodríguez and Austraberta S. Sánchez on May 13, 1982. Coco was a free spirit and a social butterfly. Her children were her pride and joy, as she loved them unconditionally and was proud to be their mother. Coco shared her passion for the Lord with people and even taught Bible classes to children at the local library when possible. Her gift of voice and song was used for His Glory, and she blessed those around her. One of her children’s fondest memories of their mother, Coco, was the delicious dishes she cooked for them, never using the same recipe twice. Anyone who met her fell in love with her contagious smile and beautiful eyes. The loss of Rose Betty Rodríguez is felt deeply in the hearts of her family and all who knew her. May she rest with our Heavenly Father forever.
She was preceded in death by her father, José Rodríguez.
A viewing for the public will take place on Friday, January 20, between 6:30 pm and 9 pm at Altmeyer Funeral Home Southside Chapel. A celebration of Life will be held for Coco the following morning, Saturday, January 21, starting at 8 am. Burial will immediately follow the service at Forest Lawn Cemetery.
