Ronnie Lubron Townsend, 66, passed away surrounded by his family on February 15, 2016. He was born in Toney, Alabama to Catherine Townsend and the late Daniel Crutcher. He is also preceded in death by his son, Sean Steve.
Ronnie’s joys in life included music, Cadillacs, and most of all, family. He was married for 23 years and will be fondly remembered as a loving and devoted husband and father. Those who loved him rejoice in his Heavenly homecoming and ascent to eternal life.
Left to cherish his memory is his loving wife, Patricia Townsend; sons, Demetrious and Cody Townsend, Ronnie Steve and Lamont Hall; daughters, Alexandria Townsend and Rosie Steve; and sisters, Angela Harris and Yvonne Hogue.
The family will receive friends Friday, February 19, 2016 from 5-7PM at Altmeyer Funeral Home, 5792 Greenwich Rd., Virginia Beach. A funeral service will be held Saturday, February 20, 2016 at 11AM at Altmeyer Funeral Home with a burial to follow in Woodlawn Memorial Gardens, 6309 E. Virginia Beach Blvd., Norfolk. This has really sadden me and my co-workers. Mr. Ron was a driver for our school and he always had a positive spirit about the children and staff. thing to about the kids or staff members. He will be truly missed by the Crossroads family. Our prayers are with the family. From classroom A8
