Robert Leonard Johnson Sr. passed away peacefully on June 3rd, 2017.
Robert is predeceased by his wife of 54 years, Mary “Liz” Johnson and daughter Vicki Rembroske.
Robert is survived by his son Robert (Dianne) Johnson Jr. of Virginia Beach; two daughters Connie (Tom) Cake of Virginia Beach and Nancy (Jerry) Hardison of Jamesville, NC; nine grandchildren; twelve great-grandchildren.
Robert was a proud army veteran who served in World War II as well as a member of Kempsville Christian Church and Fairview Christian Church.
A visitation service will be held at Kempsville Christian Church located at 5424 Parliament Drive, Virginia Beach, VA on June 8th, 2017 at 10:00 am. Directly following the visitation will be a funeral service also at Kempsville Christian Church beginning at 11:00 am. Immediately following the funeral service will be a burial and graveside service at Forest Lawn Cemetery located at 8100 Granby Street, Norfolk, VA.

Tom, Connie and family, We are so sorry to see Bob has passed . He was a wonderful kind man who always lit up the room . Having loss my father, brother and mother in 4 years I can say it does get a little easier each day to deal with . Your family is in our prayers. R.I.P.
