Robert Karl Ricker Sr.

February 5, 1940 - July 18, 2023

02/05/1940 - 07/18/2023

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Robert Karl Ricker Sr., beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend on July 18, 2023, in Williamsburg, VA.

Robert was born on February 5, 1940 in Maine, and was the son of the late David and Marie Perry Ricker. He was a proud veteran of the United States Army, having served two tours in Vietnam, and retired as Sergeant.

Robert was an avid outdoorsman, and enjoyed camping and fishing. He was happiest when he was working on cars, or working in his yard. His yard caught attention by the always maintained grass and pink flamingos. He also loved helping his neighbors in between his own hobbies.

Robert unfortunately joined his son, Robert K. Ricker Jr., in passing on July 18, 2023 in Williamsburg, VA.

Robert is survived by his loving wife of 59 years, Judith Ricker. He is also survived by son David R. Ricker (Tanya); daughter Michelle Hutton (Michael); siblings Donald Ricker and Linda Hillock; grandchildren Anneliese, Ethan, Chloe, Jacob, Logan, and Denise; many neighbors and friends.

There are no planned services at this time as the family will be mourning in private. Please keep Mrs. Ricker in your thoughts through her recovery and mourning.

Christopher Sink and Deborah Sink send our condolences to the family of Mr Ricker.
We lived across the street from them for many years before moving to Providence Forge Va. in 2010.
We were surprised and honored when Mr and Mrs. Ricker out of the blue, showed up one day at our new home to visit.
After moving, but still working in Newport News, Mr Ricker would bring me fresh vegetables and homemade Zucchini Bread!
We are saddened by this news and are praying for Mrs. Ricker through her recovery.
We also send prayers to the family.
