CHEASAPEAKE – Kent Kidd, 59 died May 26, 2022. Kent was born in Norfolk, VA to Shirley Lee Kidd and the late Harry Gray Kidd, Sr. He was a veteran having served in the US Army 25th Infantry Division. Kent was a member of the Masonic Lodge, enjoyed fishing, watching the New York Mets play and above all spending time with and caring for his family. He will be remembered for all the lives he touched while coaching baseball.
Left to cherish his memory is his loving wife of 23 years, Michelle Kidd; children, Brooke Kidd of Chesapeake, BJ Crook (Sarah) of Virginia Beach, Ashley Crook of Chesapeake, and Andrew Kidd (Stephanie) of Copperas Cove, TX; brothers, Darrell Kidd of Chesapeake and Harry Kidd, Jr. of Chesapeake; in-laws, Bud and Sue Atwood of Chesapeake; grandchildren, Nolan and Grant Crook of Virginia Beach; special friend, who was like a brother, John Eisel, Sr. (Deanna); and a host of other family and friends.
A celebration of life service will be held on Saturday, June 4, 2022 at Great Bridge Baptist Church Fellowship Hall from 4:00 pm until 7:00 pm. Please check back later for additional details. Express condolences to the family at www.altmeyerfh.com.
