I was shocked to hear of your moms death. Since we left the :Washington :Post we have been in contact via email … She surely is with JESUS now … she always was encouraging to me when things were tough … was always concerned about you and her brother who just recently passed … took alot out of her … but counted on you mostly for that comfort …
She being my good friend will be missed … and since she left to be with JESUS one day after my very close cousin Dolores 90 1/2 … I felt a comfort knowing somehow they entered Heaven as buddies watching over me. Sounds silly but I felt something inside. Take care of yourself Nancy … that Angel is watching over you … like the Bluebird that appeared outside your moms window after her brother passed … seemed to comfort her … GOD HAS HIS WAYS of making us feel better about things.
I am saddened to learn of the passing of my sweet friend Rena. She was a joy to work with and we shared many cross-stitch projects and I have a cabinet full of Avon glassware and decorations I collected from her. God bless a dear person. I will miss her.
Your Mother, our dear friend, worked with both of us at The Washington Post for many years, where she had many friends.
Although many years of retirement have passed, keeping our friendship was very easy. She was always a joy to hear and talk with. She was a sunshine.
Nancy, we are both here for you in heartache and in the Celebration of Life for your beloved Mother. All Our Love To You.

My heart is breaking. I worked with Rena at the Washington Post and she was a sweet, loving, caring friend. We had wonderful times together. We always kept in touch after we retired. She moved to VA and I moved to FL I wish I could be there to help her family celebrate her life. I know you all have loving memories of Rena. My condolences to the family.

My heart broke a little more today. What a wonderful woman, friend and mother in law Mom Rena was. Our loss is heavens gain and I know Granny, Bill, Terry and many friends and loved ones were there to welcome her. My thoughts are with family and friends whose lives were touched by her.
