Phyllis ‘Allison’ Dale Yohannan passed away suddenly in the comfort of her home on Tuesday, August 24th, 2021 in Virginia Beach. Phyllis was born to Mr. and Mrs. Daniel Kirby in Gary, Indiana, raised by her Aunt and Uncle June and Philip Yohannan in Huntsville, AL. She was a graduate of Louisiana State University with a Degree in Architecture and Botany.
Phyllis had a knack for making things beautiful.  She had a strong love of botany, horticulture, and animals; she was a great cook; and she had an unmatchable sense of humor. She was also the leader of the WhoDat Nation (the biggest New Orleans Saints fan).
Phyllis loved her children Salvadore and Justin Junda and she was always the mom that would do anything for her children.
Phyllis was preceded in death by her parents and her sister, Shelly Yohannan. Left to celebrate her memory are her two children, Salvadore and Justin Junda; Three grandchildren, Wilbur (6), Hazel (4) and Frances (1); close family, Hutter Gale and Salvadore Junda II; and lastly her favorite dog, Gus.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday, September 1st from 5:30 – 6:30 PM at Altmeyer Funeral Home – Southside Chapel, 5033 Rouse Dr., Virginia Beach 23462. Her body will be laid to rest in Florida near her family. Flowers may be sent to Altmeyer Funeral Home – Southside Chapel, or in lieu of flowers please make a contribution to your local SPCA or favorite animal shelter.
