I awoke this morning thinking about Paula and my teaching days at Seatack Elementary. My 6 th grade classroom was, quite luckily, across the hall from Paula and her 5th graders. She was my first and always there friend and cohort while I was there. Funny, organized, intuitive, she was always there for the kids, the school, and her fellow teachers. I moved to Houston 34 yrs ago. Sadly, we lost touch. This is a regret of mine. What made me think of Paula this am..do not know. Maybe…Divine Intervention. Loved her! I know she is missed terribly. Gary,,and girls: I am sorry for your loss.

I would like to offer my deepest sympathy to you and your family. The comfort found in the Holy Scriptures can help soothe the pain in our hearts. Psalm 34:18 assures us that God is near to all those who are broken at heart and crushed in spirit. He cares for you and wants you to draw close to him in prayer at this difficult time. (James 4:8)

Gary, Lauren, and Ashley: Deb and I have our prayers with you during this most difficult time. Paula had such an influence on the children she taught and the people she worked with. I will always remember her unyielding spirit and her passion for teaching, and for showing me the ropes as I made the transition to the classroom. We are all better people for knowing her; know that she will be missed. Again, our thoughts and prayers are with you.

Paula taught me so much about teaching fifth grade students! I appreciated her quick wit and organization in the classroom. She has touched many lives over the years. My sincerest sympathies to her family and friends.

Mr. Gary, Lauren, and little Ashley, my heart is with you all during this difficult time. Your mom was an amazing, strong woman. I will never forget playing over your house when we were younger, the delicious brownies she’d bake for us, or the friendly hellos I’d receive daily throughout my adult years. My thoughts and prayers are with you all.

Gary, Lauren, and Ashley,
Paula has been a trusted friend and colleague for 25 years and I will miss her dearly. She loved you all deeply, and her family filled her life with adventure and happiness. As an educator, Paula put her students first, and decades of children learned through her care and dedication. Please know that my prayers will continue to be with you in the coming days as we all mourn the loss of this special lady.

Gary, Lauren and Ashley
I am so sorry to hear of your great loss. Paula has been a friend my whole life. I appreciate so much her reaching out to me last year when I lost my mother and sister. An unexpected Christmas wish or a happy birthday text from Paula helped me realize that good friends remain friends forever. Betsy and I unfortunately cannot make it to the services but you all will be in our thoughts and prayers.
