Patricia Sloane

Patricia Sloane, age 82, passed away on February 9, 2017 in Currituck County, NC. She is survived by her siblings Alberta and Leyden “Lee” Neat; her children Susan Keel, Scott, Mark, and Andy Eastman, and four grandchildren. Patricia was a remarkable southern cook, baker, knitter, crocheter, and seamstress.  She had a heart of gold for animals; rescuing the occasional stray puppy, kitten, and baby raccoon.  She lived in Middleburg, FL for a bit where she was a part of the Ladies Auxillary for the VFW post 8255 as well as volunteered at the local civic center. A passion for hospice care was in Pat’s heart.  She independently helped out a few souls in transition including the mother of a dear family friend. Patricia later moved to VA to spend her golden years living life her way as well as spending time with her children and grandchildren. Pat loved Jim Beam and Coke and would always say ” I am a Kentucky girl”. She managed to stave off Alzheimer’s as long as she possibly could and was able to remain independent just past her 80th birthday. She is now free from pain and confusion and is home with her Lord and loved ones. Patricia will be dearly missed by the many who loved her.
