Patricia always was a wonderful cousin…. positive and caring when I saw her. I have fond memories of her when I was young and visited Aunt Helen and Uncle Allen. I am so glad that I saw her at my brother Jerry’s memorial service in January. As usual, she was smiling and eager to hug us all. I am proud of her dedication to teach our youth and I believe that she touched many young lives over the years. I am grateful for her service. I just wanted to reach out to the family and send them my love.

“ God’s Special Angel”
God saw Patricia getting tired and a cure as not to be found.
So He put His arms around her and whispered “Come with Me.”
A golden heart stopped beating this past Tuesday. Hard working
hands at rest. God broke our hearts to prove He only takes the best !!!
Our loss is heaven’s gain!!!! No more suffering! She’s in God’s care!

Prayers for all you family members, friends, and all the ones lives she touched!
I am so thankful God put Patrica and Ken back in my life again a few years ago. I always enjoyed their visits!

Patricia and Curtis became Bruce and my best friends in 1972 when we moved to Elizabeth City and bought our first home in their neighborhood. This bond of friendship has always been special as there were many miles between our homes with moves for job opportunities. We could go for months without seeing each other and then reconnect as if we were just down the street. Patricia loved her family and was so influential in the lives of her sisters and brother. When she began her consulting business she was a sought out presenter because she remained in touch with the classroom and gave excellent ideas for reaching the children of America. I am grateful for the years Ken and Patricia had together living life to the fullest. Last Tuesday I lost a precious friend that I will remember as a fiery enthusiastic lover of life and people.

My dearest Berry, Gregory and Winslow families,
What a loss you have suffered. Patricia was a force to be reckoned with. Such a wonderful neighbor and friend. A teacher from a young age to her sister’s and brother. So very fitting that she became a teacher later in life.
I know how much you ALL will miss her sweet spirit. Truly the gates of heaven were opened for her the moment she left our presence.
May God walk with you as you go through these difficult days ahead.
May you know those of us that loved her are walking with you.
Blessings,
Ann and Allan Mcpherson
