Oliver Wade Daughdrill Sr.

Oliver W. Daughdrill was the Director of Finance and The Treasurer to the Board of Commissioners at the Virginia Port Authority from February 1, 1973, until March 1, 2004.  Prior to joining the Virginia Port Authority in 1973, he served as a manager in the Finance Department for the City of Norfolk for over 10 years.
He is survived by his wife of 64 years, Nora; daughter, Amy Page Kaviani; son, Oliver Wade Jr.; nephew, Steve Daughdrill and family; grandson, Jonathan Bentley and family.  He was predeceased by daughter, Mary Catherine Bentley.
He was a devout Christian and member of Azalea Garden Church. Throughout church affiliations, he served in many capacities including church treasurer, teacher of adult Sunday school, lead usher, chairman of deacons, and deacon.
A chapel service will be held on Thursday, January 27, 2022 at Altmeyer Funeral Homes – Southside Chapel starting at 2:00pm, conducted by Dr. Rodney Vickers and Rev. Aubrey May.
