VIRGINIA BEACH, 78 passed into eternal life on September 14, 2016 at home, surrounded by family. He was born in Goldsboro, North Carolina to the late Norman Lee Corbett Sr. and Nellie Mae Derr. He is pre-deceased by his sisters Norma Cubilla and Peggy Reynolds. He is survived by his wife, Charlotte Weymouth, Corbett and his two daughters, Carol (Gary) Hughes and Cynthia (Chuck) Amory; eight grandchildren, Christopher (Kerry), Whitney (Bryan) Jones and Sarah Hughes, Charles, Ian, Lauren, Alexander and Mathew Amory; four great granddaughters, as well as several nieces and nephews. He was a partner of Norfolk Engraving for forty years. He loved his farm in Bedford County and his beloved terrier, Fiona. He traveled the world with his wife and lived his retirement to the fullest. Family will receive friends at 2:00 pm Sunday, September 18, 2016 followed by the funeral service and reception at Altmeyer Funeral Home 5792 Greenwich Rd. Virginia Beach, Va. 23462. Memorial service will be held in Bedford County at a later date.
