Nicholas Alexander Pisanchik, age 25, went to be with the angels in Heaven in the early morning hours on March 30, 2017. Left to cherish his memory are his parents, Dawn and John Pisanchik; his step-father, Bill Brown; and older brothers, John J. and Michael Pisanchik.
He was born to Dawn and John Pisanchik on April 25, 1991 in Denville New Jersey. He attended grade school in Hackettstown, New Jersey and in 2006, was diagnosed with Mitochondrial Encephalopathy Lactic acidosis and Stroke-like episodes (M.E.L.A.S.). As a special needs student, he attended middle school and high school in Pocono Mountain School District. Nicholas was involved in the School to Work program and he graduated in 2011. Following his graduation, Nicholas was a part of the Deveroux Day Program and Workshop in Mount Pocono, Pennsylvania.
He received much treatment and care from so many doctors and nurses at hospitals such as Geisinger-Janet Weis Children’s Hospital in Danville, Pennsylvania, Geisinger Wyoming Valley Hospital in Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania, and also Sentara Leigh Hospital in Norfolk, Virginia.
There will be a Celebration of Life Ceremony held at First Landing State Park on May 13, 2017. Nicholas will be forever missed.
