Nera May McDaniel, born in Rivesville, West Virginia passed away Wednesday, July 13, 2016 at the age of 80. Known as May to her friends, she retired as a foreman after 20 years in the Insulation Department at Newport News Shipyard. She was a loving mother, grandmother and wife, though she lost the love of her life 20 years ago her love for the late Edward Eugene McDaniel Sr. endured all these years.Her memory is left to be cherished by her son; Edward Eugene McDaniel Jr, two grandchildren; Amanda and E.J., also Michele, John and Shirley, and 2 grandcats Larry and Zazzle.A graveside service will be held Saturday, July 16, 2016 at 2:00 pm at Peninsula Memorial Park.Altmeyer Funeral Home, Denbigh Chapel is in charge of arrangements.Online condolences may be shared with the family please visit www.altmeyerandcremation.com
