Naomi G. Holt, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, passed away peacefully on August 6, 2023, in Hampton. Naomi lived a remarkable life, filled with love, devotion, and dedication to her family and career. She was known for her strong work ethic and tireless commitment to her profession as an office manager in the automotive industry.

In addition to her professional accomplishments, Naomi cherished her role as a wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She was deeply devoted to her husband, Carl C. Holt, who preceded her in death. Together, they created a loving and nurturing home for their three daughters, Sandra Johnson (Bernhard), Jozan Holdren (Rodney), and Denise Hain (Charles). Naomi’s unconditional love and guidance shaped the lives of her children and set a strong foundation for future generations.

Naomi is preceded in death by her parents, Walter Berkley Graves and Norine (Hunt) Graves, as well as her brothers, David Graves (Ethel), Wilburn Graves (Vilma), Donald Graves (Tess), and sister Mary Margaret Graves.

Naomi leaves behind a legacy of love and cherished memories in the hearts of her grandchildren, Teresa Barger (Josh), Derek Holdren, Melanie Stephens (Josh), Jennifer Tunstall (Mark), Christopher Hain (Lisa), and Michael Johnson. Her thirteen great-grandchildren, Anabelle Poventud, Leila Poventud, Kyndall Shambarger, Mackensie Stephens, Braden Stephens, Kelsie Stephens, Madelyn Tunstall, Cooper Tunstall, Ellie Hain, Harry Hain, Levi Johnson, Paul Drees, and Bowen Drees, brought immense joy and happiness to her life.

The family will receive friends and visitors at the Altmeyer Riverside Chapel, located at 7415 River Rd in Newport News on Friday, August 18, at 10 am, followed by a service at 11 am. An interment will take place at Troutville Cemetery in Botetourt County, Virginia, at a later date.

In honor of Naomi’s wishes, no flowers will be present at her service. Instead, she requested donations be made to the Round Pond Baptist Church of Sandy Level, Virginia or a charity of your choice.

Naomi G. Holt will be fondly remembered for her unwavering love, strength, and selflessness. May her soul rest in eternal peace, and may her memory forever inspire us to live with the same dedication and devotion she demonstrated throughout her life.
