Naomi Freer departed this earthly world on February 9, 2022, to be with her family who have passed away before her on the mountain side of Candle Ridge Road in Gray, Kentucky. She is survived by husband of over 30 years Richard Dee Freer Jr; sisters Susie Trosper, Brenda Jackson and Fran Smith; brother Marvin Sullivan; daughter Tammy Renee Long and son Billy Joe Barton; grandchildren and great-grandchildren; a long list of nieces and nephews, and many members of her Wal-Mart Family. Naomi had a deep love for her Family. She loved the Christmas holiday, going Fishing, Yard Sales and Flea markets, Cooking, Decorating, Animals and listening to Christian and Country music. She was an amazing and courageous Wife, Mother, and Grandmother who endured 5 bouts of grueling Cancer. While working at Walmart for 28 years she shared her cooking skills not only with family and friends, but also used her culinary skills to help raise money for the annual Walmart CHKD charity and Christmas parties. She was very smart and quick witted with an adventuress spirit and a fire about her that will live on with all those she met.
The family will have a private family visitation on Friday, February 18, 2022 from 4pm – 5pm. Naomi’s friends will have their visitation on Friday, February 18, 2022 from 5pm – 7pm.
