In Loving Memory of Miss Nancy Griffin
Born on July 6, 1937, in the heart of Boykins, Virginia, Miss Nancy Griffin peacefully departed this world on January 5, 2024. Known affectionately as “Crazy G” to her beloved family and friends, she will forever be remembered for her vibrant spirit and Southern charm.
Miss Nancy had a passion for literature that knew no bounds. She could often be found engrossed in the pages of romance novels that whisked her away to far-off lands filled with love and adventure. Her love for reading extended beyond novels; she also delighted in solving search-a-word puzzles that challenged her sharp mind.
But it was Miss Nancy’s love for snacks that truly set her apart. She had an insatiable craving for cheese puffs that brought a sparkle to her eyes and joy to her soul. And who could forget her unwavering devotion to Dr. Pepper? The sound of a can opening would always bring a smile to her face.
Miss Nancy leaves behind a legacy of love through her children: Connie Spriggs, Sandra McClary, and Debbie Keefer. Her numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren were the light of her life.
She is predeceased by her son, Joey King.
To honor Miss Nancy’s memory, a reception gathering will be held on Thursday, January 11th, from 4-6 pm at Altmeyer in Virginia Beach. Let us gather together to celebrate the life of this remarkable woman who touched our hearts with kindness and laughter.
May she rest in eternal peace knowing she was cherished by all who knew her.
