Nancy E. Przeworski of Virginia Beach, VA, passed away on October 13, 2015 at her home following a courageous battle with cancer.She was born in Nanticoke, PA on January 11, 1951 and graduated from Piscataway High School, Piscataway, NJ and attended Newark State College now Kean University. Earlier in her career, Nancy was employed by PRMMI in Elizabeth, NJ and Glen Burnie, MD. She was employed for the past 24 years with OOCL in Norfolk, VA.Left to cherish her memory is her brother, Alan Przeworski with his wife, Rebecca, of Kingston, PA, her sister, Barbara Machowski with her husband, Joseph, of Mountain Top, PA, her niece and godchild, Leigh Anne Machowski, Mountain Top, PA, her longtime companion, Roger Fiftal, Chesapeake, Va and a large extended network of very close friends which she considered family. She is preceded in death by her parents, Leo and Jennie Przeworski, of Nanticoke, PA.Nancy will be remembered for her constant smile and infectious laughter. She was an excellent cook and baker and everyone looked forward to her treats. Her legacy will be the love, help and support that she offered other breast cancer survivors. A memorial service of celebration will be held at Altmeyer Funeral Home, 5792 Greenwich Rd, Virginia Beach, VA on Saturday, November 14th at 2pm. Interment will be held by the family at St. Mary’s Cemetery, Hanover Township, PA.In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions to celebrate Nancy’s love of animals can be made to the Va Beach SPCA, 3040 Holland Rd, Va Beach, VA 23453 or also the Susan G Komen Tidewater, 420 N Center Dr, Bldg 11, Suite 143, Norfolk, VA 23502 to help to find a cure for breast cancer.Condolences can be made at www.altmeyer.com.

Nancy and I worked together for a number of years. She was a good person and her cooking was the best! She will truly be missed.
