Minnie Louise Willis, also known as Bobbie Willis, passed away on December 7, 2023, at the age of 84 in Hampton, Virginia. She was born on February 27, 1939, in LaGrange, Georgia to Kenny B. and Queenie B. Bryant, formerly Daniells. Minnie was preceded in death by her first husband Marvin Abraham Peeples, her second husband Harry Thomas Willis, her brothers Jerald Otis Bryant and James K. Bryant, and her parents. Minnie was a free spirit who enjoyed family, travel, and friends. She had a diverse work history, including being a Private School Driver, a Front Line Manager at Giant Open Air Market, and a volunteer with Davis Corner Volunteer Rescue, where she served in several capacities, with her last role as Chaplain. Minnie was also a talented hair stylist, working at various locations in the Tidewater area. She took pride in using scissors she had received on a trip to Switzerland. She is survived by her three sons: Marvin A. “Tony,” Daniell Thomas “Danny,” and David Alan Willis, along with their wives Cheryl, Cathey, and Marie. Minnie also leaves behind six granddaughters, two grandsons, and eleven great-grandchildren. Minnie held an Associate of Science degree from Tidewater Community College (TCC). She was a lifelong learner who valued education. Minnie was a member of the Friends Church of Virginia Beach, where she found solace and community. A family viewing will be held to honor Minnie’s life.
