Childhood Best Friends
Mel was one of the nicest people you could ever have the pleasure of meeting. My condolences to his family and friends on his passing.
Years ago when our HOG Group was meeting at my house, Mel rode into my garage and accidentally dropped his Harley on my bike putting a big scratch on my tank. In all fairness it wasn’t Mel’s fault. My garage floor was wet and slippery from the rain. He insisted on having it repaired but I refused knowing that every time I sat on my Harley that scratch would remind me of Mel and what a great friend he was. Sure enough as the years ticked away I grew very fond of that scratch because it reminded me of the fun times we had on our rides together. Thank you Mel, for some great memories. God bless you, Debbie and your family.
Sending so much love to Kimberly, Aunt Debbie, and the entire family. You all are in our thoughts and prayers.
Family, we are sorry for your loss. I grew up in Homestead and was very fond of Mr. and Mrs. Bundy and their family. We are sorry to hear the news, and our thoughts and prayers are with you during this difficult time.
Debbie, we are so sorry for your loss. We will always remember all the rides we have taken to the mountains and all the good times we shared with you and Mel. He was a great guy with a good sense of humor. Prayers and thoughts for your family at this difficult time.
Very sorry to read about the loss of Melvin to his family and friends. Melvin and I were friends at Princess Anne High (both ’69 grads) and while we lost touch over the years I later enjoyed seeing him every now and then after I moved to McCosh.
I have to think that he must have been an extraordinary man to have raised such an amazing daughter. Kim’s love for her father is so evident as she speaks of him and I gather that her mischevious nature was come by honestly! My condolences to those who love him and will miss him so.
Thinking of the family during this difficult time. Kim, I’m so sorry for your loss. I’m keeping you and your family in my thoughts and prayers.
