MARY SUE WILLIAMS
Norfolk – Mary Sue Davis Thornton Williams, 89, of the 100 block of Ridgeley Road passed away Wednesday, December 14, 2016. She was born on October 18, 1927 to the late John B. and Ila S. Davis in Barren Springs, VA. Mary Sue is survived by her family of Norfolk including her son, John W. Thornton (Karyl); two grandsons, John C. Thornton (Tammy) and James C. Thornton (Lisa); four great-grandchildren, Cody Thornton, Jessica Scarborough, Gabriella Thornton and Clover Thornton; and her sister, Carol Lewis of Fairfax, Virginia. Mary Sue was preceded by her late husband Melvin B. Williams, President of Smith & Williams Funeral Homes who passed in 2002.
The visitation will be held at Altmeyer Funeral Home, 5792 Greenwich Road, Va. Beach on Sunday, December 18, 2016 from 6pm to 8pm. The funeral service will be held at the funeral home on Monday, December 19, 2016 at 11:00am with Mike Lucas minister officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Lawn Cemetery, Norfolk.
