Mary M. Moore

Mary Moore, 76 passed away November 27, 2015. She was a strong, loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother that was always willing to help anyone in need. Mary is proceeded in death by her husband, the former sheriff of Newport News, Charles Moore, and her granddaughter, Jennifer. She is survived by her mother; Lucille, sisters; Betty, Peggy & Lori, brothers; Sonny & Bobby, children; Patti, Judy & Bud, grandchildren; Jason, Jesse, Chris, Shell & Junior, great-grandchildren; Robbie, Josh, Jayden, Grace & Savannah, her loving companion “Duke” as well as many other friends and family. She will be greatly missed by all those who knew and loved her. The family will receive friends at Altmeyer Funeral Home, Denbigh Chapel, November 30, 2015 from 6:00pm to 7:30pm. A service will be held at Altmeyer Funeral Home, Denbigh Chapel December 1, 2015 at 1:00pm. There will be a release of balloons immediately following the burial. In lieu of flowers a monetary donation should be made to the National Parkinson’s Foundation Research in her honor.
