Lynne was born on June 15, 1967 and left this world suddenly on September 27, 2023 at the age of 56.

Lynne is survived by her devoted husband, Donny Pennington, and their sons, Don Pennington Jr. & his wife, Kristina and Matthew Pennington & his wife, Rachel and her fur babies Chewy, Thor and Tigger.

She is also survived by Floyd W. Dooley Sr. (father) & Linda Dooley (stepmother), Edith Bierman (mother-in-law), Kathleen Duncan (sister), Brenda Padilla (sister), April (sister-in-law) & Jeff Achesinski, Kendol Maddox (brother-in-law), Lisa Dooley-Miller (sister-in-law), and many nieces and nephews.

Her passing has left a void in the hearts and lives of all who knew and loved her. Born in California, Lynne’s life journey took her to Virginia, where she met Donny and found her soulmate of 39 years. Lynne was happiest spending time with her family making memories. Lynne enjoyed traveling and doing cruises with her husband.  She loved Bon Jovi, country music, playing bingo, Friday night Mexican and swimming in her pool.

Lynne’s strong sense of family and unwavering love for her husband, Donny, were what truly defined her. Her greatest joy was being a mother to her sons. Lynne and Don Jr. shared a bond as avid Green Bay Packers fans. (Go Pack Go). Lynne was Matt’s go to person when it came to adulting. She was so proud of the amazing men they had become.

She dedicated her career as a Fiscal Budget Analyst, showcasing her dedication and expertise in the field. Lynne’s contributions were instrumental, earning her respect and admiration from colleagues and friends alike.

She is preceded in death by Mary Dooley (mother), Floyd W. Dooley Jr. (brother), Gloriann Maddox (sister) Wayne Duncan (brother-in-law), William Pennington (brother-in-law), and Catherine Petrone (sister-in-law).

A memorial service and reception in honor of Lynne’s beautiful life will be held on Tuesday, October 3, 2023, at 11:00 am at Altmeyer Funeral Home, located at 5033 Rouse Dr in Va Beach. This ceremony will allow family and friends to gather, remember, and celebrate the profound impact Lynne had on their lives.

Lynne will forever be cherished and remembered as a woman whose strength, love, and vibrant spirit touched the hearts of all who were fortunate enough to know her. May she rest in peace, and may her memory continue to inspire us to embrace life with joy and love, just as she did.
