Maria Menezes

On Saturday, 12 August, 2017, Maria Auxiliadora Menezes departed this life. She is survived by two sons: Daniel, Adriano, two daughters:  Karina, Lorena, and nine grandchildren. This closes a chapter in her life and a beautiful journey. Our mother taught us most importantly to forgive, love, and to always show humility and compassion. Her absence will leave an immense void in all the lives she had touched throughout this amazing voyage. We know you are now reunited with the loved one who has gone before you. Daniel only wished that he had seen you one last time. Karina thanks you for being the best mom anyone can ever ask for, Lorena will miss all the countless phone conversations and all your support throughout the years. Adriano will forever miss that Mae Nanica and her awesome strength that raised a strong man and a father for his children. Rest in peace mommy.
A memorial service will be held in her honor on Friday, August 18 at 11am** at Altmeyer Funeral Home – Riverside Chapel, 7415 River Rd. Newport News, VA.
