Celebration of Life

Margaret Evelyn Dodson, 94, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, March 23, 2017 in Virginia Beach, VA. Margaret joined her beloved husband Roy Raymond Dodson of 75 years who went to prepare a place for her just 10 days prior.
Margaret was born March 17, 1923 to Steve & Estelle Martin in Martinsville, VA. She was the oldest of seven and helped raise her three sisters and three brothers. Margaret was a member of Hyde Park Baptist Church and longtime resident of Norfolk, VA. She loved dogs and flowers; especially her rose bushes. She was an excellent seamstress and made most of her own clothes. Margaret enjoyed cooking in her pressure cooker and had a serious sweet tooth.
Left to cherish her memory are her son Leroy and wife Anita; grandchildren Cynthia, Saundra, Terri and Roy; great grandchildren Julie, Dustin, Aaron, Grace and Mila; great-great grandchildren Bayless, Bentley and Haley and her sisters Marie & Libby.
A memorial service will be held Sunday, March 26, 2017 at 3:00 pm at Altmeyer Funeral Home, 5792 Greenwich Rd., Virginia Beach, VA.

Sorry for the loss of your dear love one. May you find comfort in God’s promise to wipe out every tear from their eyes and death will be no more. This wonderful promise will take place only by means of God’s Kingdom. Mathew 6: 9&10
