Linda Taylor, 66, passed away January 19, 2023 in Virginia Beach, VA in her home, surrounded by her loved ones.  Linda was born in San Francisco, CA to Earl and Mary (Swinford) Bell on March 5, 1956.

Linda met the love of her life, James Taylor, when she applied for a job at the Pizza Hut where he was a manager. The pair married on January 21, 1979 and celebrated 43 happy years of marriage. Linda was a homemaker who homeschooled all five of her children. Linda had a passion for reaching children and youth with the good news of the gospel. In her spare time, Linda enjoyed writing poetry and stories to entertain her loved ones.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Earl and Mary (Swinford) Bell; three sisters, Sandra Northern, Judy Romesburg and Barbara Naughles; and two brothers, James Bell and Richard Bell, Sr.

Linda is survived by her husband James Taylor; five children: Jason Taylor, Sheena Taylor, Shyla Taylor, Joshua Taylor, and Jonathan Taylor; two daughters-in-law: Melinda (Feist) Taylor and Sarah (Fersch) Taylor; and four grandchildren: James Taylor, Jared Taylor, Rebecca Taylor, and Rose Taylor.

The family is asking that everyone wear at least a splash of purple to the visitation and the funeral, in honor of Linda as this was her favorite color. In lieu of flowers, the family is asking for donations to be made to Samaritan House by clicking HERE

Jim and kids it’s been such a long time since we’ve seen each other. I met her in 1984 . It seems like yesterday. My heart hurts knowing Linda is no longer with you but I know she’s meeting Heavenly Father as we speak. She was such a testament to me as a young person and influenced many decisions that I’ve made as an older person. Stay strong.
