Linda Myers

It is with the deepest sadness that we make known the passing of Linda Myers on June 27^th 2016 in her home in Newport News, VA.  Linda was born to Earl and Mildred Harrison on November 2, 1946 in Graceville, MN and raised on a farm in rural Minnesota with her brother Les.  She graduated from Graceville High School in 1964 and was immediately recruited by Honeywell and moved to Minneapolis.  From there she moved to Denver, CO. where she met and married Harry Myers who was in the Army.  As a military spouse she moved around the country and finally settled in Newport News.  She has been active in her community ever since.
 
There’s an old phrase that says, “You shouldn’t talk about religion or politics.”  Linda knew no such restrictions.  They were both her passions.  She loved God, she loved politics and she loved her family.  She also enjoyed sewing and was very talented.  Linda is survived by her three sons, Jason, Brian and Shaun, their wives, her brother Les, her mother Mildred and her grandchildren, Sasha, Perrin and Brody.
 
Linda Myers’s funeral service will be held on Tuesday, July 5th, at 2 PM.  It will be a graveside service held at Peninsula Memorial Park Cemetery at:
