Leola F. Pecsek

Leola F. Pecsek, of Chesapeake, entered Eternal Life on Friday, May 13, 2016 at the age of 90 years at her home. She was born on November 11, 1925 in Currituck County, NC to the late Lloyd A. Tatem and Ada V. Stallings Tatem. She later went on to marry Frank J. Pecsek, Jr.
Leola knew no strangers. She was a very loving and giving woman of deep faith. Her joy in life was her family and children. She opened her heart and home as a licensed child care provider at home for more than twenty years.
Leola was preceded in death by her husband of 54 years Frank J. Pecsek, Jr.; sister Hazel Newbern; and brother Nelson Tatem.
Left to cherish Leola’s memory are her daughter Virginia Hard; grandson Adrian G. Hard, III and his wife Sandra; great-grandson Adrian J. Hard; and four great-granddaughters Victoria, Kaitlin, Lindsay, and Taylor Steinlicht.
The family will receive friends on Friday from 7:00 pm until 8:30 pm at Altmeyer Funeral Home, Chesapeake.  A graveside service will be held on Saturday at 12:00 pm at Rosewood Memorial Park.
