Laura Adrienne Evans (née Holzer), age 44, left this world on Halloween night, 10-31-22. Laura was born in Seoul, Korea in 1978 and spent her first two years of life in an orphanage. In 1980 she was chosen and adopted by Ray and Linda Holzer and bestowed upon the birthdate of October 29th, 1978, the birthday she would then share with her paternal grandmother Adele.

Laura graduated in 1996 from Ventura High School and then went on to graduate from the University of Phoenix with a Bachelors and Masters in Business Administration and Management. She most recently worked for the Language Group Institute.

Laura met her husband Taylor in San Diego, California as a sidekick to a friend’s blind date and they were married shortly thereafter on December 29th, 2009, in Virginia Beach, Virginia. Together they have two daughters.

Besides being gorgeous and strong, Laura conquered life’s obstacles with grace and humility with her heart of gold. She was a cancer survivor and a military wife. Laura will be remembered by her ability to make a stranger into a friend in no time flat, aided of course by her infectious laughter. She always rooted for the underdog and would help anyone and everyone. Laura always said she lived her life with one foot on fabulous and one foot on a banana peel. What she didn’t realize was that she always had both feet on fabulous. She was an incredible woman, wife and mother that fostered a fierce love for her beautiful daughters that will never be broken.

Laura is survived by her husband, Taylor; their two beautiful daughters, Michaela and Violet; her loving parents and sister, Linda and Ray Holzer and Marissa Holzer (Joshua Chinn) of Ventura, California. Laura was preceded in death by her grandparents, Otto and Adele Holzer and Harry and Dorothy Schiffer. Laura touched more lives than she will ever know, leaving behind countless others.

In lieu of flowers the family asks that you make a donation in Laura’s name to the Tailhook Education Fund for the Scholarship set up in her name and remembrance.
