Latisha RosaHilda Torres sadly passed away January 9, 2023 in Virginia Beach, VA. Latisha was born in Brooklyn, NY on October 11, 1976 and raised in Far Rockaway, Queens, NY. She is survived by her three children, who made up the entirety of her world: Brian (age 30), Precious (age 27), and Sterling (age 22).
Latisha was a beautiful ray of sunshine who radiated love and happiness wherever she went. She was a fashionista who enjoyed traveling to see family and friends, food, music, and more than anything, spending time with her mother Carmen, brother Daniel, and her three children.
In her early adult life, Latisha moved to Virginia where she had Brian and Precious, and then to Florida where Sterling was born. She worked in administrative, medical, and finance jobs, but then decided to retire as a stay at home mom and raise her children.
Latisha found happiness in helping and supporting others when she could. She loved her mother Carmen and her brother Daniel—who she called Teddy Bear—and her two dogs, Mylo and Kuzco. Her proudest achievement was that she raised three kids who grew up to be successful adults and could carry on her legacy. Her children made her very proud, achieving goals such as graduating high school and college, joining the military, landing career jobs, and following their passions and hobbies.
Outside of her children, Latisha will forever be remembered by the many who loved her, including her mother Carmen, brother Daniel, Dalton, Hakim, Danny, cousin Hazel, and the rest of her family and friends.
A viewing will be held from 9:00am to 12:00pm on Friday, January 27, 2023 at Altmeyer Funeral Home 5033 Rouse Drive, Virginia Beach, VA 23462. A ceremony will be held Saturday, January 28, 2023 from 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm. Please, feel free to attend if you wish to pay your respects, and celebrate her journey. God Bless and see you soon.
