Kit McCrimmon, age 21, of Virginia Beach died Thursday, December 22, 2022, in Virginia Beach, Virginia.
They were born on December 30, 2000, to Christopher McCrimmon and Kimberly Duke. Surviving them are their parents and step-mother Amy McCrimmon, sister Sarah McCrimmon and partner Christian Jennings, grandparents Paul and Inez McCrimmon, grandparents John and Susan Duke, and a large circle of family and friends. Kit was preceded in death by their grandmother, Julia McCrimmon.
Kit was a talented artist and musician, and loved spending time with their friends and family. They enjoyed several hobbies, with their favorites including playing guitar, singing, and knitting, They were happiest when writing and recording music.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the McShin Foundation, or any organization that helps those who struggle with addiction.
Amy’s name doesn’t even deserve to be here.
Kim and family I offer you my greatest sympathy for your loss. May you find happiness in their memory, and find joy when listening to their music.

Kit was such an important part of my early recovery, and was there to support my son as he began his transition. When my son had mental health challenges, or felt unaccepted Kit would scoop him up and give him that acceptance. When I didn’t know what to do, they connected me with their mom so I could better understand how to support my son. I wish I had not lost touch when he moved to Richmond, and that COVID had not been a source of me losing touch with so many people, but Kit was definitely someone I would look up from time to time because I missed their music and their kind spirit. I know the challenge of being left behind, I cannot say how sorry I am for your loss. My only hope is that they are free and finally hopping around dancing and singing in the sky.
I will miss your humor and the love you gave to every human you met. Thank you for making me a better human and teaching me to love even more!
