Kimberly Jones Savage, age 58, passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by family and friends, on June 15, 2022, in Virginia Beach, VA. She was born March 31, 1964. She was a graduate of First Colonial High School, class of 1982, in Virginia Beach, VA and a graduate of The University of Richmond, class of 1986, in Richmond, VA. 

 

Kim, known as ‘Kimbo’ to many, was a loving wife, mother, sister, daughter, aunt, and friend to all who knew her.  She spread laughter and love wherever she went and always had a story to tell and many questions to ask. She lived life big. The beach, with a good book, was her happy place. 

 

She spent most of her professional life in banking with Bank of America, Monarch Bank, and Towne Bank. She served as a past member of the Board of Trustees for the Virginia Aquarium & Marine Science Center Foundation. After banking, she went on to follow her passion in Charitable Non-Profit with Habitat for Humanity and The United Way.

 

She is preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Robert Crawford Maupin, Alberta Thurston Maupin and her paternal grandparents, Riddick Marshall Jones, Martha Roundtree Jones, and mother-in-law Mary-Babb Venable Savage.

 

She is survived by her husband Todd Venable Savage of Virginia Beach and their two children, Jordan Venable and Benjamin Crawford and her beloved dog Charlie (Char-Char), her mother Gail Maupin Jones of Virginia Beach, her father William Joseph Jones (Mary Beth) of Fort Myers, FL, her sisters Deborah Jones Arrowood (Mike) of Chesapeake, VA and their children Autumn (John),  Caroline and Cade, and Paula Lynne Pennington (Jimmy) of Mechanicsville, VA and their two children Christopher & James,  and father-in-Law Richard (Dick) Vaughan Savage, Michael Vaughan Savage (Katie), Mary Kate, Clare, Bridget of Alexandria, VA.

 

A celebration of life will be held on June 22, 2022 @ 11AM at Trinity Church (401 35th Street, VA Beach, 23451) In lieu of flowers, please consider making a charitable donation to:
