An Angel of the Lord descended from Heaven to escort Kenneth Edward Littrell to his eternal home in Heaven on September 18, 2022. The world lost, unexpectedly, a beloved husband, father, granddaddy, son & friend. Kenny was born on January 8, 1944 on Signal Mountain, Tennessee, and is predeceased by his parents Emmitt and Leoma Littrell, brother Dennis Littrell, half-sister Leona Vandergriff, and many nieces and nephews.

Left to cherish his memory is his wife, Wendy, who was the love of his life, just as he was the love of her life. He is survived by his two loving sons and their families, Timothy (Allison), granddaughter Aubrey, Terry (Vicki), granddaughter Cassie Matthews (Brendon), great grandson Jayce, grandson Noah, one daughter Laura Turner (Chris) and three grandsons, Jack, Finn & Charlie, nieces Belinda Duncan, Marlene Cribbs, and a host of other family and many friends.

Kenny served his country in the United States Navy and circumnavigated the world during Operation Sea Orbit as part of the Nuclear Task Force aboard the USS Enterprise at the age of 17. After the military, Kenny pursued a career in different facets of the fitness industry in the area until he and his good friend, Becky Raynor, founded Fitness Concepts in Raleigh approximately 40 years ago.

He was a kind and honest man with many talents. In his younger years, he was an avid runner, snow skier, and loved all water sports. He was a fabulous cook, loved flowers & a manicured lawn, loved music, and was a great dancer, mechanically inclined and could fix anything, and shared his knowledge, patiently, with everyone.

A private Memorial Service honoring and celebrating Kenny’s life will be held on Monday, October 24th, 11am, at Albert G. Horton, Jr. Memorial Veterans Cemetery. 5310 Milners Road in Suffolk, VA. The family request, in lieu of flowers, a donation to a Veterans charity in Kenny’s honor. Condolences may be sent to www.altmeyerfh.com

Wendy and family, I am so sorry for your loss. You were the love of his life and all his friends knew how deep his love was for you. When you two
finally got together he was the happiest man alive. Very few couples share the love you two experienced. Thank you for making Ken’ so happy and loving him so completely and so sincere.
